An arm of the Nassau County Police Department, the Stewart Manor Auxiliary Police unit provides extra eyes and ears for the NCPD. This Unit's car patrols the Village, usually at night and during predictably troublesome times, such as Halloween. It serves as security for parades and large Village gatherings, such as entertainments on the Country Club lawn. All of this unit's chiefs have been Village residents. The Police Axiliary provides a trained, equipped corps of volunteers who are called upon in times of emergency.
