POOL EMPLOYMENT APPLICATIONS

It appears at this time that the Village will have openings for two or three Recreation Attendants at the Stewart Manor pool for the summer.  Applicants must be 16 years of age, have valid working papers (if under age 18) and must complete an application.  Applications are available on the Village website, www.stewartmanor.org (under the "Employment" section) and at the Village Hall.  They will be accepted at the Village Hall from Monday, May 13th to Monday, May 20th.  Submitting an application is not a guarantee of employment as the openings are limited.  Working papers, a social security card and a driver's license/permit (or other photo ID if one does not have a license) MUST be submitted with the application.  No applications will be accepted prior to Monday the 13th.

HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES TO BE HONORED\

At the June 4, 2013 meeting (8 p.m.), the Board will honor all those in Stewart Manor graduating high school.  If you know of a high school graduate, please have them email the Village Hall at villagehall@stewartmanor.org to add them to the list of those being recognized.  We hope that they attend the meeting with their families.

SCHOOL BUDGET VOTE

The school budget vote will be held on Tuesday, May 21st.  Please remember to vote.  For those in the Elmont UFSD, attached please find information that was presented by Trustee Onorato at the May 7, 2013 Village Board meeting.

BOARD WORK SESSION

The Board of Trustees has scheduled a work session for Wednesday, May 22nd at 7 p.m. to review Village policies.  The public is welcome to attend, but there will be no public comment taken.

MEMORIAL DAY CEREMONY

Please plan to join us on Saturday, May 25th, at 10 a.m. for the Village's Annual Memorial Day Ceremony which will take place at the gazebo on the Country Club lawn.  We ask you to take a moment at the beginning of the "holiday" weekend to commemorate the true spirit of the holiday - remembering those who have sacrificed so much to secure our freedom.
