Beginning
tonight at 5:30 p.m., Ladder Truck 191 of the Stewart Manor Fire Department
will be driving around the community encouraging kindness as part of Sewanhaka
High School’s Kindness Challenge! During the month of April, Sewanhaka High
School has been working to spread kindness throughout our community and to make
people aware of the effects of bullying. The students have decorated bedsheets
with positive messages like “Choose Kindness!” which will be placed on Ladder
Truck 191 which will then drive around the community. This event is meant to
spread love, empathy, compassion and strength.
Please
consider stepping outside your home at 5:30 p.m. to observe Ladder 191 as it
drives through our neighborhood and showing your appreciation for the Sewanhaka
High School students’ hard work on this event.
