Election Day November
3, 2020
At the Village Hall, we
have received many questions regarding Election Day on November 3rd,
including absentee ballots, early voting etc.
This election is run by
the Nassau County Board of Elections. As
such, we must refer you directly to them for any information about voting.
Their website is as follows: https://www.nassaucountyny.gov/566/Board-of-Elections. Their phone number is
516-571-VOTE (8683).
We can tell you that
for anyone who’s regular, November polling location is the Village Hall, the
polling place this November 3rd will be in the bays of the Fire
Department instead of upstairs in the Board Room. That should provide easier access to many
voters. We also understand that for
those of you who vote at the Stewart Manor School, that location remains
unchanged. For information on which
polling place you specifically vote on Election Day, we again refer you to the
Board of Elections.
The Village will
operate on a normal schedule and there is normal recycling and sanitation
collection on Election Day.
KEEP
YOUR CAR DOORS LOCKED
Please remember to lock your car at all times and to never
leave valuables behind. In addition, at that this time of year, with the
daylight hours getting shorter, combined with the upcoming holidays (when many
are not home), keeping your vehicle locked is especially important. If you notice anything suspicious at any
time, you are urged to call 911. More information is available on the Village’s
website under “Crime Prevention”.
