ELECTION INFORMATION

The Village Election is tomorrow, Tuesday, September 15th from noon to 9 p.m. at the Village Hall.  Peter Healy is running unopposed to hold the Trustee seat to which he was appointed last fall.

We have been receiving calls asking about absentee voting for the November Presidential Election.  While the Village Hall serves as a polling place for that election, the election is conducted by the Nassau County Board of Elections.  They can be reached at 516-571-VOTE (8683) or at https://www.nassaucountyny.gov/566/Board-of-Elections.

GOLD LIGHTS FOR PEDIATRIC CANCER AT THE STEWART MANOR COUNTRY CLUB

John Parks has advised us that the gold lights on the tree in front of the Stewart Manor Country Club are to bring awareness to pediatric cancer.  This is in an effort spearheaded by Carol Ruchalski, who tragically lost her 12-year-old daughter, Mary, to a rare form of cancer. The lights will remain on the tree through the month of September.
