LEGAL NOTICE
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING OF THE VILLAGE
OF STEWART MANOR
NOTICE is
hereby given that the Tentative Budget for the Inc. Village of Stewart
Manor, New York for the 2020-21 Fiscal Year has been completed by
the Budget Officer and a copy thereof has been filed in the Office of the
Village Clerk at the Village Hall, 120 Covert Avenue, Stewart
Manor, NY. On Tuesday, April
14, 2020 at 7:00 p.m., the Board will meet for the purpose of hearing any and
all interested persons in connection herewith and to consider such budget for
final adoption. In accordance with NYS
Executive Order No. 202.1, this meeting will be conducted via video conference.
It will be
recorded and transcribed at a later date. The public is asked to submit all
comments on the budget by email to: villagehall@stewartmanor.org
with “Budget Comment” in the subject line no later than noon on April 14th.
The tentative
budget is available for inspection by the public on the Village website: www.stewartmanor.org,
beginning April 6, 2020. The proposed compensation for the Board of Trustees is
as follows: $3,000 per annum for the Trustees, $3,000 for Village Justice and
$3,500 for Mayor. Mayor Onorato has declined to receive this $3,500.
In addition,
pursuant to Section 495 of the Real Property Tax Law, the Local Government
Exemption Impact Report is attached to the Tentative Budget for the Year 2020-21. The Report will be a part of the Final Budget
for the year 2020-21. The Report is also
posted on the Budgeting Authority’s bulletin board maintained for public
notices.
