Information regarding the Village Hall closed on Columbus Day, the Halloween Parade, a defensive driving course rescheduled, and a Halloween celebration at the Presbyterian Church

COLUMBUS DAY SCHEDULE

Monday, October 14th is Columbus Day. The Village Hall will be closed and there will be no regular sanitation pickup on that day. Please plan ahead for any needed overnight parking permits ($5 per car per night).

 

STEWART MANOR VILLAGE HALLOWEEN PARADE OCTOBER 26TH  

Please save the date for the annual Halloween Parade which will be held on Saturday, October 26th beginning at 10:30 a.m. The parade will follow the same route as in previous years. Following the parade, the Covert Avenue Chamber of Commerce will have a “Trick or Treat” event. More will follow as the date gets closer.

 

DEFENSIVE DRIVING COURSE RESCHEDULED

The Empire Safety Council’s Defensive Driving Course originally scheduled for October 12th has been cancelled due to not having the minimum number of people required to have the course. It has been rescheduled to Saturday, November 2nd. Please see the attachment which has information about the class.

 

HALLOWEEN CELEBRATION AT THE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH

Please see the attached flyer that has information for a Halloween celebration at the Presbyterian Church in Garden City on October 31st.

 

 

 

During the Third Track Construction Project, all merchants on Covert Avenue will remain open for business. Please make every effort to support your local businesses.

 

The Stewart Manor Volunteer Fire Department is actively seeking members for Fire / EMS. If interested, come down to the Firehouse Thursdays at 8:00 PM or Sundays 10:00 AM or call the Firehouse at 516-354-0880. Help provide emergency services to your friends and neighbors.
