SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL BUSINESSES

In an email last week, it was mentioned that the two newest businesses on Covert Avenue in Stewart Manor were holding their grand openings this month.  We encourage you to shop local and support your local businesses, especially during the Third Track Project.

Once again, welcome to those businesses:

Good Looks Optometry, 72 Covert Avenue (grand opening event on Saturday, the 15th at noon)

Jack’s Custom Framing, 92 Covert Avenue (grand opening was last Saturday).

4th OF JULY PARADE

The Stewart Manor Fire Department will be hosting their annual Parade on July 4th.  The route will be the same as in past years.  More information to follow in future emails.

CONGRESSWOMAN KATHLEEN RICE TO HOLD A TOWN HALL MEETING

Congresswoman Kathleen Rice will be holding a Town Hall at the MLK Center in Long Beach on June 22nd at 10 a.m. She asked that the Village invite the residents to attend.  A flyer containing the details is attached.

During the Third Track Construction Project, all merchants on Covert Avenue will remain open for business. Please make every effort to support your local businesses.

The Stewart Manor Volunteer Fire Department is actively seeking members for Fire / EMS. If interested, come down to the Firehouse Thursdays at 8:00 PM or Sundays 10:00 AM or call the Firehouse at 516-354-0880. Help provide emergency services to your friends and neighbors.
