Information regarding the Memorial Day Ceremony tomorrow, pool membership applications due next Friday, tax bills, stop sign enforcement, and  a NCPD Community Forum

Tomorrow (Saturday, May 25th) at 10 am on the Country Club lawn, the Village will host a Memorial Day Ceremony followed by light refreshments provided by the Stewart Manor Country Club.  Please consider attending this event with your whole family. Your neighbors who attend the ceremony annually comment on how the event highlights the essence of our beautiful Village and helps to set the tone to truly remember and appreciate those who made the ultimate sacrifice to secure the wonderful freedoms we all enjoy.

Chief Powell and the Fire Department also invite you to come to the firehouse tomorrow at 9 a.m., prior to the event at the Country Club, as they remember all of the past members who served Stewart Manor who are no longer with us.  Their service to the community is beautifully remembered each year at this brief ceremony.

We hope to see you tomorrow morning.

Next Friday, May 31st, is the last day to submit your pool membership application and take advantage of the regular rates (and not incur a $50 late fee).  If you did not receive your application in the mail last month, please come to the Village Hall or download an application from the Village website under “Pool”.  The pool opens for the season on Friday, June 14th at 3 p.m.

Tax bills will be mailed next week.  They may be paid, without penalty, between June 1st and July 1st.  If your tax bills are paid through your mortgage, your bill is sent directly to the tax service company that requested the bill.

The Nassau County Police will be enforcing speeding and stop signs in the Village on a more regular basis.  Please be sure, for the safety of all, especially the children, to be aware of how you travel through the Village.  In addition, for safety, some new stop signs have been added in the Village, most recently on Cambridge Avenue and Bromleigh Road. Please be aware of them.
