The Halloween Parade will be held this Saturday, October 27, 2012 beginning at 10:30 a.m. The parade lineup will be on Dover Parkway between the Long Island Railroad and Salisbury Avenue. Please make plans to bring your children in their costumed finest or to support the marchers on the route.
The parade route is as follows:
Dover Parkway South to Cambridge Avenue;
then right onto Cambridge Avenue heading West to Bromleigh Road;
then Right onto Bromleigh Road heading North to Salisbury Avenue
ending at the Corner of Salisbury Avenue and Bromleigh Road.
Also, please take some time to admire the newly beautified areas by the LIRR crossing on Covert Avenue. The beautification committee designed the new area and installed it with the help of the DPW. Although the area is not complete, all can certainly agree it is a great improvement. Thank you to our volunteers and staff for making this a reality.
This Sunday, October 28th from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., St Anne's Church will be holding a Blood Drive. Please consider making a donation if you are physically able. For more information, please contact Brian McKeever at 516-317-4571.
Lastly, the Lion's Club very popular Breakfast with Santa will be held on Saturday, December 1st at the Stewart Manor Country Club. Registration for this event is scheduled for Saturday, November 10th from 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon at Sewanhaka Travel. This will be the only registration date. The cost is $8.00 per adult and $4.00 per child (children under 2 no charge)
