The Village
of Stewart Manor designates that a Village election will take place on Tuesday,
March 19, 2019 between the hours of 12 Noon and 9 p.m. at Village Hall, 120
Covert Avenue, Stewart Manor, NY for
the office of Trustee (two positions) for a four year term;
That the
names and addresses of those nominated, whose petition of nomination has been
duly filed with the Village Clerk-Treasurer, and the office and term of such
office for which they have been nominated are:

LEGAL NOTICE
Incorporated Village of Stewart Manor, Notice of Referendum
to approve the new five-year contract and cost therefore with the Garden City Public
Library for the “Fernwood Terrace-Stewart Manor Library Funding District” to be
approved by the Board of Trustees of the Incorporated Village of Stewart Manor
commencing with the Fiscal Year June 1, 2019. Notice is hereby given that an Election will
be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 from noon until 9 pm at the Stewart Manor
Village Hall, 120 Covert Avenue, Stewart Manor, NY 11530 to approve said contract
and budget. The district consists of the following territory lying within the
Garden City Union Free School District: Beginning at the North on Fernwood
Terrace at the south side of the Hempstead Branch of the Long Island Railroad to
the South on Fernwood Terrace approximately 100 feet south of Cambridge Avenue
within the Incorporated Village of Stewart Manor. Only registered voters located within this
district may vote in this special election on the following proposition:
PROPOSITION:
Whether the new contract and cost therefore with the Garden
City Public Library for the “Fernwood Terrace-Stewart Manor Library Funding
District” for a five-year period commencing June 1, 2019 and ending May 31, 2024,
shall be approved in the amount of $27,870 per year and in addition whether the
costs associated with said election shall be approved for an amount not to
exceed $1,200.
If the new contract and cost therefore is approved by the
voters, a special tax will be levied to all properties in the district to fund
the cost of the library services contract at $27, 870 per year commencing June
1, 2019 as well as the cost of this election not to exceed $1,200.
If the majority of those voting do not approve the new contract
and budget, the contract for library services will lapse.
