Please join us tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. (Saturday, May 23,
2015) for the Village’s Annual Memorial Day Ceremony which will take place at
the gazebo on the Country Club lawn. We
ask you to take a moment at the beginning of this “holiday” weekend to
commemorate the true spirit of the holiday – remembering those who have
sacrificed so much to secure our freedom.
We especially ask all the veterans of the Village to identify themselves
prior to the ceremony, and sit in a place of honor during the ceremony so the
rest of us can say “thank you” in a special way. There will be light refreshments after the
ceremony on the lawns which are being provided compliments of the Stewart Manor
Country Club. All ages are welcome!
Don’t forget to fly your American flag.
Please
note that prior to the Village’s Memorial Day Ceremony, the Fire Department
will be honoring its fallen members at its annual Memorial Day Service next
Saturday, May 23rd at 9:00 a.m. at the fire house.
Please also make note of the following important dates:
The Village Hall will be closed on Monday, May 25th for
Memorial Day. There will be no
sanitation pick up.
Tax bills will be mailed at the end of next week. They may
be paid, without penalty, between June 1 and July 1. If your tax bills are paid through your
mortgage, your bill is sent to the tax service company that requested the
bill.
Friday, May 29th is the last day to file your
pool membership application and take advantage of the discounted rates. If you did not receive your application in
the mail, it is available on the Village web site or at the Village Hall. The pool opens for the season on Friday, June
19th at 4 p.m.
The regular Village Board meeting will be held on Tuesday,
June 2nd at 8 p.m.
Enjoy the weekend.
