Safety & Noise Abatement Committee (TVASNAC) on Monday, May 18th, 2015 at
7:30 p.m. at the Nathan L. Bennett Pavilion, 1 Washington Street, Hempstead,
NY. All are invited to attend.
ELMONT SCHOOL
DISTRICT BUDGET VOTE
The School Budget Vote for the Elmont School
District will take place on Tuesday, May 19th. If you are not sure where you
should go to vote you may call Diana Delahanty, who is the District Clerk, at 516-434-2002

MEMORIAL DAY
CEREMONY
Please
join us on Saturday morning, May 23rd, at 10 a.m. for the Village’s Annual Memorial
Day Ceremony on the lawn of the Stewart Manor Country Club. We ask you to take
a moment at the beginning of this “holiday” weekend to commemorate the true
spirit of the holiday – remembering those who have sacrificed so much to secure
our freedom.
Please note that prior to the Village’s
Memorial Day Ceremony, the Fire Department will be honoring its fallen members
at its annual Memorial Day Service next Saturday, May 23rd at 9:00 a.m. at the
fire house.
The Village Hall will be closed on Monday, May
25th for Memorial Day. There will be no sanitation pick up.
Please remember to fly your American flag
during Memorial Day weekend.
BOARD WORK
SESSION
On Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at 7 p.m. the Board
of trustees will hold a regularly scheduled work session. The public may attend
this meeting however there will be no public comment period.
PLEASE CLEAN
UP AFTER YOUR PET
Over the years the Village Hall has received
many complaints about people not picking up after their pets. Everyone has a
responsibility to clean up after their dogs and cats for both health and
aesthetic reasons. In addition there is a Village code specifically dealing with
this. Please note that the strip of grass between the sidewalk and the street
is an area where animals are not permitted to urinate or defecate. This is a
quality of life issue and we want to keep our Village the beautiful place we
all know it to be.
