EASTER
EGG HUNT TOMORROW AT VILLAGE HALL
This is a reminder that tomorrow, Saturday, March
28, 2015 at 10:00 am the Village will have the Annual Easter Egg Hunt.
Please come to the Village Hall at 10:00 am to proceed with the event and don’t
forget to bring your baskets for the kids to collect the chocolate eggs.
Cameras are allowed for this event. (Due
to the weather prediction, the location has been changed to Village Hall).
UPCOMING
BOARD MEETINGS
Work Session:
Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at 7 p.m. the Board of Trustees will hold a work
session to prepare the upcoming Village budget. The public may attend this
meeting however there will be no public comment period.
Annual Meeting: Monday, April 6, 2015 at 8 p.m., the
Board of Trustees will hold the Annual Meeting. At this meeting, Trustees Bill Grogan and
Carole Schafenberg will be sworn in for their new four year terms. There are also many appointments that are
made and the dates for the next year’s Board meetings are set.
Budget Presentation / Public Hearing: Tuesday, April
14th at 7 p.m., the Board of Trustees will present the 2015/16
budget and then take public comment related to the budget. Prior to the
presentation there is a Public Hearing scheduled regarding Local Law 1 of 2015:
to override the property tax cap. There
is no plan to exceed the tax cap for the coming year. This law, if passed, is
merely done as a precaution.

HOLIDAY
Please note that the Village Hall will close at noon
on Friday, April 3, 2015 for Good Friday.
There will be regular sanitation pickup that day.
LANDSCAPERS
This is the time of year that landscapers begin
their work. All landscapers must be
licensed by the Village of Stewart Manor.
Please be sure that your landscaper has obtained his 2015 license. Landscaping work is only permitted between
the hours of: 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday; Saturday from 9:00
a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; and Sunday, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Landscapers are not permitted to blow debris
onto neighboring properties or down the catch basins. All debris must be removed and cannot be left
for Village sanitation crews.
