AIRCRAFT NOISE MEETING MONDAY NIGHT                                                                                                                                                                              There will be a meeting of The Town-Village Aircraft Safety & Noise Abatement Committee (TVASNAC) on Monday, January 26, 2015, at 7:30 PM at the Nathan L. Bennett Pavilion, Town Hall, 1 Washington Street, Hempstead, NY. All are invited to attend.

PLEASE CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR PET

Over the years the Village Hall has received many complaints about people not picking up after their pets. Everyone has a responsibility to clean up after their dogs and cats for both health and aesthetic reasons. In addition there is a Village code specifically dealing with this. Please note that the strip of grass between the sidewalk and the street is an area where animals are not permitted to urinate or defecate. This is a quality of life issue and we want to keep our Village the beautiful place we all know it to be.

CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK AT ST. ANNE’S SCHOOL                                                                                                                                                                   All Stewart Manor residents with school-aged children are cordially invited to St. Anne’s School on Sunday, Jan. 25.  Next week is Catholic Schools Week, and St. Anne’s will kick off the festivities with a family mass in the church at 11:45 a.m., followed by an open house from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Residents will have an opportunity to speak with current students, meet with teachers and tour classrooms throughout the school. St. Anne’s offers nursery and pre-kindergarten programs, full-day kindergarten, and elementary education through 8th grade – all of which incorporate the school’s religious focus with a rigorous academic curriculum and nurturing classroom environment.

St. Anne’s is located at 25 Dartmouth Street, just off of New Hyde Park Road.
