Legal Notice: Grievance Day

The Village will hold a Tax Grievance Day on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 from 6 to 10 p.m. where property owners can grieve their Village assessments (the Village has its own assessment roll which was established in 1973).  In order to file a grievance, you must fill out the state form and provide evidence to prove you are unfairly assessed. 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the Assessor of the Village of Stewart Manor has prepared a tentative Assessment Roll of said Village for the fiscal year June 1, 2015 to May 31, 2016 and that a copy thereof has been filed with the Village Clerk of said Village where it may be examined by any person during the business hours of every business day between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding Holidays until Tuesday, the 17^th of February 2015. On the third Tuesday of February 2015 to wit:  February 17, 2015 between the hours of 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. at the Village Hall, 120 Covert Avenue, Stewart
Manor, New York, the Board of Trustees acting as a Board of Review, will meet to hear complaints in relation to assessments at which time and place any person aggrieved by the assessment may appear and be heard in relation thereto.
