The Village of Stewart Manor allows for residents to close their street for the purpose of holding a block party, with the consent (signatures) of at least 75% of the homes on the block (including those on the corners) and with Board of Trustees approval.
In order to do so, residents must file a block party application with the Village, at least 60 days in advance of the date of the block party to obtain Board of Trustees approval for the event and to allow for the notification of the Nassau County Police Department of the road closure.
